dataisusedtoanimateamodelin3dsmax.

UsingFaceLiftertotrackprerecordedvideofiles.Youcanrecordvideo
filesdirectlyintoFaceLifterorloadvideofilesthatyouhavecreated
elsewhere.

UsingFaceTrackertotrackalivevideoperformancedirectlyinto3dsmax
fortruefacial"puppeteering."Eitherway,thefacialanimationdata
generatedinthetrackingprocessisusedtodrivefacialanimationin
3dsmax.Thisanimationdataisfunneledinto3dsmaxusingtheFaceDriver
plug-in,whichreplacesyourexisting3dsmaxMotionCaptureUtilitywith
amorepowerfultool.

Althoughitispossibletousethefacialanimationdatatodeform
localizedareasofamesh(usingbonesorvertexclusters),FaceStation
isprimarilydesignedtoanimatefacialexpressionsusingasimpleset
ofpredefinedmorphtargets.Thesemorphtargetsareveryeasytocreate
fromcopiesofyourneutralheadmodel.However,FaceStationincludes
AvatarEditor,aneasy-to-useprogramthatallowsyoutocreatefully
texturedheadmodels(withallnecessarymorphtargets)usingonlya
simplefrontandsideimageofahead.
